VOX Operation With Soundcard
VOX operation with the soundcard is straight
forward if you have your interface and levels setup according to information
contained in the Soundboard Interfacing portion
of this web site. You will have to experiment with your particular
rig to determine proper VOX settings. I find that setting my VOX level
for proper SSB operation works great and I do not have to change it.
I then adjust the output level of the soundcard such that it produces the
proper drive level to the input of the XCVR and adjust the resistive pad
so that I do not have to change any settings when I change from PSK31 to
SSB and so forth.
